BIT Langlang · 2023-10-28 — Why Breakouts Keep Failing in a High-Level Consolidation: Layered Filtering by Market, Coin, Position and Divergence Level
A week-in-review session: after BTC moved from its main rally into a high-level range, altcoin false breakouts multiplied, and most of the speaker's losses came from skipping the upstream filters and trading only the final box structure. It covers how large and small divergences call for different entries and holding periods, how to screen leader candidates, and why position splitting is the core of error tolerance.

- Filter top-down before every entry — market cycle, coin strength, daily upside room, divergence level, then the small trigger structure — and pass if any layer fails.
- While BTC ranges at highs with no confirmed direction, cut back on altcoin breakouts; re-engage after BTC breaks its box upward or dips, reclaims and retests the neckline.
- After a large divergence ends, buy the turn and consider holding; in a small divergence, buy the bottom of the box and take one leg; stop buying at the third small divergence or a fifth-wave top.
- Pick leader candidates from coins that rose with BTC's first wave, have good daily structure, held up during BTC's pullback and still have room above — being shortlisted is not a buy signal.
- Split positions to survive consecutive mistakes and never go all-in with high leverage; if you want to flip right after a stop to win it back, stop and restart from the big cycle.
