BIT Langlang · 2024-05-25 — Trading the Late Stage: Shifting Leadership, the Shelf Life of Laggards, and Waiting for the Leader's Second Wave
Starting from ETH's strong breakout and the altcoin rally it sparked, the speaker shows how to confirm a leader among coins that moved early with good structure, and why leadership shifted from PEPE to PEOPLE. He explains when laggard plays work and when that window closes, and reflects on a risky high-level add with a wide stop. Useful for traders judging whether a rally is entering its late stage.

- Once ETH has broken out strongly and the market is clearly heating up, you can enter an altcoin as it turns up after a pullback instead of waiting for the prior high; if the majors haven't moved, still wait for that confirmation.
- Leadership isn't permanent: when the early leader turns sluggish and another coin moves more smoothly and pulls the market, update your ranking promptly.
- If you missed the leader, laggards are tradeable early in the spread; once both the leader and laggards have run and the leader starts a big correction, stop hunting coins that never moved.
- Add at the highs only after a retest holds and price reclaims the level; a low-cost core position is no excuse for a wider stop on the new size.
- When the leader completes five waves and hits its first major pullback, stop chasing and wait for either a confirmed second wave or a valid BTC/ETH breakout—otherwise rest.
