BIT Langlang · 2024-06-01 — Leader's Second Wave First, Laggards Later: Telling Platform Breakouts, Trend Continuations and Tail Ends Apart
The speaker narrows the next opportunities to the leaders' second wave first and laggards only after the leaders pull the market, using PEOPLE's daily platform breakout as the core case. With TURBO, NOT and W he shows how to exit a range bounce, a trend continuation, a tail end after repeated pullbacks, and a failed laggard play. Useful for traders sorting out the order of leaders versus laggards.

- When a confirmed leader is tradeable, trade the leader; consider laggards only after the leader has run and pulled the market, and only if you missed it.
- Update the leader list by current strength and capital preference: a large-cap former leader lagging in relative gains (like PEPE) should be demoted.
- Distinguish a second wave after a full major pullback from a continuation after an insufficient pullback; give the latter only one or two legs and exit when it stalls.
- Price action at the highs after multiple pullbacks is a tail end with poor risk-reward for longs; a range bounce after the main leg ends should be cashed in once it's profitable.
- If the structure isn't ideal, you can still join once a genuine breakout is confirmed, but accept the later entry and smaller size—never drop your risk limits because of it.
